Cloners & Effectors Caching – Issue with render times…
I have a scene that is about 2400 frames long and the render times are taking astronomically long for each frame, ranging widely from 15 to 25 minutes PER FRAME. I need help drastically cutting these render times as soon as possible…
The scene has lots of clones in a grid formation, 75 x 1 x 50. I have several effectors with 1 or 2 fields per effector. As for materials, I have reflectance, luminence, and of course color. Ambient Occlusion is also being used, and I have just a sky object with that just has a luminance channel, no GI.
I have already explored Multi-Pass rendering, but even just rendering out a Diffuse channel is taking 5-6 minutes per frame…so I was wondering about caching clones and effectors. Can anyone point me in the right direction on how to handle this project???
