  Clone tool versus brush

  I’m doing some touch-up work on some damaged video, and I’m noticing something odd about the clone tool.
  It seems to take a very long time to update the preview window after using the clone tool, as opposed to using the paintbrush tool.

  These are just single frame touch-ups. Anyone have an idea about this?
