Does anyone know how to make the clone stamp NOT smudged when I use it like in photoshop. I’m doing some pretty detailed wire removal in cineon space and can’t seem to get it to work without blurring. If I wasn’t in cineon space I would just use photoshop but I need to stay in that color space. If anyone has any thoughts or knows how to get the clone tool to paint exactly what I’m sampling instead of a color smear it would help me out a lot.

    Thanks,

    Sean

I’ve never had the clone stamp “smearing” (as in a similar effect to the smudge tool in photoshop?). You’ve probably already thought of this, but press command+9 to bring up your brush tip pallete and make sure that you’re using a brush that applies to your application.

    Hope that helps a little.

Yeah I did try that, for some reason, the brush isn’t having anything to do with the smearing. I’ve changed everything that I could think of with it and it still doesn’t clone exactly what I’m samlpling, just smeared color. I think it has something to do with a setting that I’m not seeing or something like that.

    Sean,
what are the clone stamp settings that you’re working with?
brush shape, opacity, flow, mode, channels, duration?
email me a screen grab of your clone stamp window if you can.
    still working on PH?
