My instructions were to mask out a logo on an actor’s shirt that slipped past the producer during production. So I chose to use the clone stamp tool to cover the logo. It worked great, until I rendered it.

It’s DV25 footage and I rendered it out using the Animation codec (maybe that information will help).

Here’s the problem: On the very first frame of each cut that includes this actor, the logo is visable. Yet when I check that frame in AE before rendering, the frame is correctly masked.

Can anybody explain why its doing that?

you’ve got a fields problem. When creating animated masks over interlaced video it’s important to temporarily double the frame rate so you can see every field

Then change it back after you have completed the masking.

I wasn’t the original poster, but thanks for answering this. I was having the same issue and I was pulling my hair out trying to figure it out.
