  • “Clone” Matte/Mask?

Haven’t gotten it looked at yet, but my camera was damaged somehow and there’s a small spot/artifact that exists in the same place on every video I take (in the upper righthand quarter)

I’d like to know if there’s a matte / mask I can use in FCP similar to the “clone” function on Photoshop. It would remain in the same coordinates and only need to be about a couple pixels around, adjusting to the surrounding colors progressively.

Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

I use Digital Heaven’s plug-in called DH_Reincarnation to replace dead pixels.

So, DH would definitely be awesome, but I don’t have the $.

I’ve been looking for free alternatives supported by FCP7 and they all require you to drop the program file in /Library/Application Support/Final Cut Pro System Support/Plugins

I don’t have a folder called Final Cut Pro System Support. Only /Library/Application Support/Final Cut Studio

How bad is this? Can’t figure out any other way to install.

DH Reincarnation is worth every single penny. For three shoots we had a dead pixel and this program pretty much fixed every single frame.

I’m starting to realize this! Gonna buy it today most likely. Thanks for the help, Victor and Miriam.
