Does anyone know of a good clone and/or scratch removal plug-in for FCP, Motion or Color? This is something I was really hoping would come with the new vector paint tool in Motion 3, but unfortunately there is no clone brush. This is one finishing tool that is lacking in FCS 2. If they could work it into any of the apps, it would be great. I’ve tried the CHV plug-in and really don’t like it too much, Silhouette FX is pretty nice, but it’s pretty pricey as well. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    best regards,

Digital Heaven’s DH_Dropout is a pretty sweet plugin tool for FCP and Martin Baker, one of our fine Cowpokes, provides some excellent video tutorials to take you through the entire process. Martin speaks English, not American like the rest of us, but I found that no translation was required.

CHV Electronics also has a clone plug in that handles larger dirt.

    David,

Thanks for the suggestion. I checked it out, but it’s still not quite the flexability and elegance I’m looking for. The best thing I’ve come across is the paint and clone tool in the new version of Boris Red. It’s a very powerful program that gives you access to it right from your FCP timeline.

    best regards,

    jeremy
