  • Clips revert to 4:3 when match frame is used

Has anyone had the following problem?
A 5.1.4 project was opened in 6 and some clips in the timeline open 4:3 in the viewer when match frame is used, despite having all settings set to 16:9.

When anamorphic is selected for that clip in item properties, it fixes the problem, but when that sequence is closed and reopened, the clips revert to 4:3 when match frame is used, once again.

Does anyone know if this is a bug in upgrading a 5.1.4 project to 6. Moving from Tiger to Leopard?

Is there an way to change the anamorphic setting for the clips and have it stay?

    Thoughts 🙂

So the “master clips” have the anamorphic check-box checked in the browser? Or are you checking it in the viewer, then item properties? There is a relationship there between affiliate clips and master clips that might be lost somewhere. You could remake you “master clips” by going to ‘Tools > Create Master Clips’. You will have to spend some time reorganizing and setting anamorphic on you clips, but that might help.
