clips on timeline are black and no audio with red
Hi group, so I did something unknown and now 1/2 my clips are black with no audio and no video… and trying to relink shows nothing is missing.
I know I have the files on the RAID drive and have viewed show package and inspected the original media folder.
Anyone experience this mess? FCPX 10.1.1 gotta say after my first month editing a project so many things I’m having issues with in 10.1.1 change is good but not loving this app.

When you say “Black” – you mean like this?
If so activate visibility in the Timeline Index:

Hi Paul,
no that’s disable clip I know that one I mean I see the clip length and volume db adjustments I made but no waveforms and no clip content.
I think might have renamed the event but I was under the impression that was not an issue, however, I also notice every time I shut down and restart I have sit and relink many clips so that’s another issue I’m having this app is really wearing on me all the above plus the audio paste effects issues just frustrating to all heck…

Is it possible that you switched the viewer to play proxy but don’t have proxy versions of some of your clips?
