  • Clips not rendering…?

Posted by Norman Greenwood on December 3, 2009 at 3:16 am

I have some 3GP clips that I wanted to edit in Premiere Pro CS4. I was able to render them all initially.

I cut them up and put them in the order I wanted.

Now 4 clips will just not render. I can select to render effects and the entire work area, but it freezes on the render window. When playback begins Premiere thinks everything has been rendered.

When I try to export the timeline as a movie file it only renders up until the first unrendered file.

Is there something I can do to remedy this?

    Thanks.

Is your work area set to the whole timeline?

Try to zoom all the way out on the timeline. Tap the \ key to zoom out. Double click the work area bar to force it to fit the entire edited length of the timeline. Try to render and/or export.

I tried that, but it didn’t help.

If I change a clip on the timeline that isn’t one of the original four clips, that will render without a problem.

Initially there had been five clips unrendered, but after opening and closing Premiere a few times and moving the clips around, it finally rendered.

This is really frustrating as I just wanted to create a video for my friend’s birthday.
