    Hi,

I have 9 clip. I want to tile them in a 3 by 3 matrix and then activate one at a time and after it finishes it goes back to its place in the tiled clips.

Can anyone one me give me any pointers as to how it can be done.

    Thanks
    Anand

i don’t know of any plugin that would help you and give you the individual tile control you want… it might be able to be set up using expressions, but i think the easiest way would be to do it by hand and use the align tool.

create a comp and drag all 9 clips into the comp. with your clips selected, hit ‘s’ and scale them to 33.333%.then create a new solid layer, make it comp size and drag it bellow all the clips (this will be used to help align all the clips evenly). now select the 3 that will be the top row and the bottom solid and use the align tool (if you don’t see it, go to window>align & distribute to open it up) and click the ‘vertical top alignment’ button. the 3 clips should now be positioned at the top of the bottom solid. select the clips that will be the bottom row and the solid layer and click the ‘vertical bottom alignment’ button.

now will need to reposition the clips for the left and right columns by selecting the clips that will be the left column and the solid layer and clicking the align left horizontal button. do the same for the clips for the right column.

now you can keyframe in the scale and position changes for each clipas they fly full screena and then back into the grid postion.
