Clips in Library not seen by finder
I am backing up files from one drive to another. One drive is 4tb LaCie USB3 TB and the other a LaCie 2big 8tb USB3/TB. After copying the library from the 4 to 8 tb drive, I wanted to make sure all the media came across. If I do a search for one of the clips in the finder it will show the clip on the 4tb but not the 8. If I navigate to the folder containing the clip I can see it on the 8TB.
Running an 4,1 MacPro with an OWC USB3 PCI card. Tried the native USB 2 port as well and finder still not seeing the clips of the 8TB. Why would this be? Also the 8TB will not mount on the desktop on startup. I have to pull the USB3 cable and put it back in for the drive to mount. However the 4TB lacie WILL mount on startup over USB3. Hoping this 8TB is OK.

Sounds to me like your Spotlight database is simply not up to date, for whatever reason. You might want to try switching it “private” and back to get it to re-index.
