Clipping with nested CC effects and overlays
Hi, I am re-converter to AP, having ditched it for FCP years ago. Still getting reaquainted with AP as I work with it.
I am getting terrible clipping issues with a sequence I am building. I have a nested sequence made up of many smaller clips on a master timeline. The individual clips in the nested sequence all have their own 3-way CC applied. On the master timeline I have a dynamic link AE comp overlayed. When I keyframe the AE comps opacity on the master timeline the black levels of the nested color-corrected clip do not blend with the AE graphic.
Here is a Skitch of my problem. This is 50% opacity, half way thru a fade out of the lower third.

Well i played around with the CC setting a bit and found a way to minimise the clipping. So the bug I obviously with the user (me).
But what I want to know now is how to understand whay is going on. What aspect of the CC is causing the clipping
Any thoughts or links would appreciated
