After the addition of a new graphics card and a 650 watt PSU upgrade I am moving right along. I got a very good deal and added a Nvidia 460GTX card.I could have saved a lot of headaches had I done this from the start. I hope that those who may be looking to upgrade their programs andplug ins make sure to have the computer power to push them. Although my system is not perfectly seamless with some BCC7 FX it is a lot smoother than it was. I’ll be looking to add a sata bracket and some sata drives after I collect a few more pennies.

I’d like to thank John Rafrano for helping me throughout.

Mike it was my pleasure. After years and years of Vegas not caring what graphics card you have, we have gotten use to ignoring it. Now with Vegas Pro 10 and the OpenFX plug-ins that are being offered by companies like Boris and GenArts, and the OpenGL interfaces that they use for 3D, you really need to start paying attention to which graphics card you use because it can make a big difference in your performance and, as you have seen, the difference between working and not working. I’m glad you got it all sorted out.

BTW, just in case people reading this didn’t catch the nuance… Mike had to upgrade his power supply to support the new graphics card. More powerful graphics processors require… well… more power… so don’t underestimate having enough electrical power to supply all those hard drives we tend to use and more powerful graphics cards. The power supply is not a place to skimp!
