I have been given the mundane task of breaking up huge files of ProRes Footage into each individual Take and shot. I have been giver 15 Files, Each at least 1 hour long and each having hundreds of cuts and takes all within each file. Im not sure what they were shot with or what file type they were originally but all i know is the footage i was given. ProRes 422 Color profile (1-1-1)

I was wondering if there is any way in FCP or even a plugin, that would detect each break in Timecode of the footage that way i dont have to sift through 20 hours+ of footage making thousands of subclips by hand?

Awesome! Thanks! Do you know if there is any other software that might be free? or maybe some sort of plugin for FCP?

Yeah, it’s right next to your free version of FCP. 😉

Sorry. This is the only one I know of, perhaps there’s others.
