clipped sound from board
I am running a z1u and for some plays I have audio running in via single or double xlr cables from a sound board, no extra attatchments are needed. The sound I get from one place always sounds clipped. My levels are good and their sound is fine through the halls speakers but my signal is always bad. They have lowered their sound levels to the channels I am getting but still getting the problem. not sure why.
That being said, I am using vegas pro 9 to do the editing and I am just wondering if there is a way to make the parts that are blown sound better. I am not sure if regular sound clipping tools would be useful since it isn’t my sound levels that are peaked.

My guess is that they’re sending you a line level (high) signal and you’re feeding this into a mic level (low) input.
If your Z1U has a mic/line switch on the inputs, make sure it’s set to line. -
the camera is set to mic and not line. that may be the issue for the sound there.
still trying to work out the sound, I am trying vinyl restoration and it seems to be working better than click and crackle remover.
