It depends on what you want to do with it.
Do a search on clipboard in the Vegas manual and you’ll get several hits.

I’ve checked the manual, and it says that clipboard contents are seen on the VideoPreview. But, is there a window for Clipboard in particular, that displays the cut or copied event-portions?(Maybe a Clipboard window that looks similar to EditDetails, or MediaPool?)

…is there a window for Clipboard in particular…

Not that I’m aware of – but I have been known to be wrong before so someone please correct me if I’m mistaken.
My main use for the clipboard is when I want to copy an image into Photoshop.

thanx. How can I make a still-image of a video frame on the timeline, aside from copying to Photoshop?

[Earle Del Rosario] “How can I make a still-image of a video frame on the timeline”

Click the “Save Snapshot” button just above the preview screen.

(Unless Vista is absolutely required, and until uncompressed video is edited, upgrading to dual or quad is wasting money. Concentrate on the work, not the toys — Example: Paul Thomas Anderson edited his first film using only two VHS decks.)

When capturing a still be sure you have the preview set to best and full before capturing. The setting of the preview (and, I think, the properties) determines the still quality you will get.
