Clip, when viewed on timeline, is different than when exported…solutions?
Sometimes, a clip will show erratic behavior, and I’m wondering if you have seen anything like this and, if so, what your solution was.
Example 1
A clip, in a sequence, when the playhead is dragged through it, shows itself in the Canvas window. Great. Now, if the playhead is placed at the beginning of the clip and played through the clip, it shows in the Canvas a different section of footage.Example 2
Roughly the same as Example 1 except that the difference is seen between viewing the clip in the timeline in FCP and then seeing it after export – and it being from a different section of footage.Example 3
Having started to use color, we are also seeing this type of behavior here where a clip shows up in color from a totally different in and out point as what was clipped originally in FCP.My Thoughts
I have tried a few things like re-clipping the clip, and putting it into a new sequence. This seems like a general category of problem, and I wonder if manipulating the XML is where the solution lies.Any answers/thoughts will be very welcomed.

This can happen if you don’t have the clip that is on the timeline in a bin as well.
Speed effects can show a completely different part of the clip when matchframed back.HTH
