Clip Skimmer
I’ve been spending some time with beta 7 of Resolve, which I’m really enjoying, definitely going to use it as my video and audio finishing tool alongside FCPX. But I did notice that it has clip skimming that works in exactly the same way as FCPX, has it always had this?

Skimming is in Version 12, possibly earlier but I can’t say for sure when it appeared. When looking at the thumbnail mode, you can skim. In list mode when you select a clip a strip appears at the top that you can skim and mark I/O and drag to the viewer.
So not new and sure probably based on how other NLEs skim

I have been playing with the retiming features in Resolve which are good but I honestly feel Final Cut is better. I don’t mind color grading in Resolve then back to Final Cut for the other stuff. I will likely do that the send off the audio to Resolve with a reference movie fir sound work. I might even get around to playing with Fusion some more. To be honest, Resolve needs some more improvements before I consider editing in it.
