Clip rate does not match – using Panasonic P2 files
‘m a newbie to the P2 world. We shot a bunch of footage (190 GB) using the HVX200. The HVX was ‘B’ camera to the Varicam.
I have figured out how to import it into a bin from an external drive using Media Tool. The Varicam footage lives in different bins. After editing the varicam footage I now want to see the P2 footage. Except the only footage I can see is footage we shot overcranked on the HVX. I get the error message “Clip frame rate (59940) does not match project frame rate (23976)”
With MCA 2.2.3 (PC) is there any way to convert the frame rates? (Using Consolidate or Transcode commands – I’ve never used them before.)
I have been able to see the clips in a new project built in 59.940. But this process of exporting multiple clips in a transcodes .mov from this secondary project to the original seems rife with problems down the line.
Does anyone have a better work around?
Thanks
