I downloaded a lot of clips using sony clipbrowser 2.5 to hard drives. I named every clip for identification. In Adobe Premiere CS4 the media browser will not show the names. I get a quicktime icon. I tried all the options in the media browser. After I select a clip to display in the preview window, the name I gave it shows in the tab. So it’s there, just won’t show up in the media browser. I have no way of knowing which clips are which in the media browser. I have to guess.

    What’s up with that?

Here is the answer Adobe gave…

“The Media Browser does not display the metadata for files, simply its
filename and location. If you would like to be able to easily
differentiate between your files in the Media Browser you will need to
change the filename rather than adding a name in the metadata for the
    file.”

What will I be getting into if I change the filename?
