Clip length locked! and What is the function of these time ruler scroll bars?
Hello and thanks for looking at my post. I could not find any reference to this in the Help.
See the attached image. The Source panel time ruler is split horizontally with a gray upper scroll bar positioned on the right and green lower scroll bar positioned on the left.
The problem I am trying to get around at the moment is when I try to lengthen a clip in the timeline panel its length appears locked and I can’t drag/enlarge to the left or right.
I’m wondering if these scroll bars are part of my problem.

Clip length problem solved… The clip was linked to a fixed length sound file returned from Sound Booth. I was able to unlink them and relink with an original sound track.

The scroll bars indicate how the audio and video clips are linked; the top being video and the lower green being audio. The bars represent the full length of the source clips in the source monitor, regardless of what portion is used on the timeline. If you link media normally on the timeline then these bars overlap. If you have them linked and then trimmed down the audio in soundbooth, it’s easy to see how it could be offset that badly.
