  clip browser version problems

  Got a new laptop with Win 7.
  Went to a Sony website and loaded Clip Browser. They still have the old version at this sony site. So I tried uploading the new Version 2.6. It won’t work. I see ver 2.6 listed but I see the old style clip browser.

  I tried uninstaller. I then did a registry clean, a disc clean, I tried a different uninstaller. defragged the hard drive. Nothing works. Each time I try to upload, I get the new version number but the old version of clip browser.

  Sony says I must roll back the computer to before I uploaded the original clip browser. But that means loosing a LOT of stuff I have loaded since then.

  I don’t understand why this even happens. Why don’t I get the new version when I upload the new version? There is no remnant of the old version left on my computer, where is the old version coming from?

  Load any other updated software and it overwrites the old version. What is wrong with sony?
