Client used DSLR and sent me Mpeg4 for Closed Captioning. No Timecode
Hi all, new to this forum and DSLR. I originally posted this in the Closed Caption forum, that’s what I do. I than ran across this forum.
Hi, I’ve run into a problem, worked on it a few days until I figure out was going on. Bottom line, client filmed with DSLR camera and cannot make any file with timecode, he is working in windows on adobe premier, and sends me a file for use with mac caption. I’ve tried everything, even going out to hdv and back in, but had tc breaks, tried blacking tape, not luck. His file is due is due on Monday, or a fine. So the questions is this, is there a way on my mac I can add tc to a mpeg 4 file? I have Mac Pro, 0s mountian lion and FCP 7.3 studio. I have other systems with newer operating system on, but not quicktime pro, I can run Studio on any, if that will help. Is there a way, is there software i can download and buy?2nd questions, does anyone know of a way, my client can add timecode to his program line, not the individual files in adobe premier. But if he needed to, he put the clip in as one big file, so I don’t think it would be a real problem for him to re-edit if needed. Video is only seven minutes long. Another easy solution for me would be if there is a windows version of software that will added timecode to quicktime a 1280×720 MPEG4. I’m really stuck here and have wasted several days. Any help or suggestions would be great appreciated.
