October 24, 2006 at 3:02 amI’ve run into the same error. I have a 108 layer Illustrator file that i’ve been animating for the last 4 days. It’s almost all gone now. Anything that’s vector based has disappeared. Is this a common issue in AE7?

November 9, 2006 at 2:09 pmI think it has something to do with a font in Illustrator. I got this message after importing a Illustrator CS2 file into AE. Once I outlined all text in Illustrator the message did not come up. It seems to be a problem with specific fonts (in my case ‘Bliss Bold’), when I changed the font of the offending file there was no problem.
I suspect this was introduced with the latest updates of either AE or Illustrator. Or maybe I never used offending fonts before…
