  • Clicking sound while reversing clips (Vegas 10)

Hey everyone. I’ll do my best to keep this brief.

I’ve found that often when I slice a clip and reverse the second half (so that the first flows evenly into the second) there’s an audible clicking sound between the two, both in Vegas itself and after rendering. It’s quite bothersome, but I have no idea what’s going on

Does anyone know what this could possibly be or how to fix it? For the record, my sound card is an onboard Realtek HD card.

    Thanks all!

This could be for a few reasons. Just off the top of my head:

    1) there’s a “gap” (however small) between the first and second clips.

    2) where you sliced the clip could be at a point where you’re not hearing the full sound, so when it plays it could be the “end” of some beat or effect finishing up, hence a “click”.

If those ideas aren’t it, are you able to post a smaller version of your clip some place and let us know exactly where you slice it?
