    Hi all,

I’m having problem in scrubbing through MPEG 1 files encoded from Cleaner 6.0.
The clips playback well if you play it from the beginning of the clip but if I were to scrubb forward or backward, the clip will not play at all. I have try playing and scrubbing through quicktime 6 player and VLC. However, I noticed that if I did not choose mutiplex during the encoding process, everything is perfect, scrubbing is very smooth. Unfortunately, my requirement is to have a multiplex file. BTW, I have try encoding MPEG 1 using ffmpegx and I don’t seem to encounter such scrubbing problem.

    Any help is much appreciated.

Yes, the scrubbing issue with Cleaner 6 encoded files is a known problem, and probably one that will never be fixed. You pretty much hit the nail on the head where the issues lies in the muxing.
