Clarify FCP5 audio capture.
Posted by Chris Poisson on June 21, 2005 at 1:10 pmI know this is probably in the manual, but does anybody have a quick rundown on this? It’s so different from 4.5.

June 21, 2005 at 1:42 pmJust turn off the additional tracks you don’t want to capture to. Very interesting interface and a bit intimidating at first to be sure.

June 21, 2005 at 3:22 pmHey Walter,
I figured that out for myself, but I sure wish the default was just the first two tracks. Also, I sure miss the little switch for stereo.

June 21, 2005 at 8:18 pmWell, it’s one more way to remind you every time you use Final Cut Pro. LOOK, I CAN CAPTURE MORE THAN TWO CHANNELS OF AUDIO! COOL HUH!
I guess they need to be excited about something over there since it only took until revision 5 to get this very basic ability.

June 21, 2005 at 10:31 pmIt remembers whatever you last had it set to for that capture preset. So you shouldn’t have to do it everytime.
