    Hi All,

    I’m working in Motion 3.0.2.

    I have an image that I have applied the circles filter to. The filter size is keyframed to have it grow over a couple of seconds.

    Does anyone know if there is a way to see only the circle effect and lose the original image it is composited over. I still would like to have the image colors filling the circles…. just not the original image.

    I don’t see any workarounds, but perhaps I’m missing something painfully obvious or maybe just using the wrong filter.

    All set here.

    Doing it with shape layers in AE.

    You gave up too quickly. You could have done it with shape layers and a replicator in Motion and by using an image mask on your original image.
