Well, I just tried the latest round of software updates and the 10.4.3 update said it couldn’t install on my dual G4 1 ghtz machine, and said to reboot. Now I get to the loading OSX screen and then the “busy” indicator just locks onto a blue screen that gently flashes, but the machine won’t boot up now. I tried everything on the MAC support site, took out all scsi cards, the Cinewave card etc., tried safe boot, fsck for disk permissions (it said the main disk was ok), tried logging in in Single user mode, etc. to no avail. I am wondering if there is any way I can get the DVD door to open so I can just boot off the OSX 10.3 disk and nuke the drives and start over. Any suggestions??
