I am interested in buying a program to make royal free music. I have looked at Cinescore have even down load it and tried it for a while. I just do not like the music. I am one for the old stuff, 50’s and early 60’s. I do not know and cannot read music. The Cinescore music is mostly very “electronic” in it’s Themes I do not like that. Are some of the new themes being offered, that have a more 50’s sound to them, “orchestrated etc;?

If Cinescore does not meet my needs what program would you recommend, that I look at?

Is there any place I can buy completed music such as a cd’s that is royal free?

Thanks for you help, I do treasured your help and option on this..

    Thanks
    Don

PS will somebody tell me why my name comes up is red letters?

SmartSound Sonic Fire Pro. They have a huge and ever expanding library of royalty free music that is quite good and the program assembles the music to the length you need. You can also mix the volume of the instruments on their multi-layered discs.

Digital Juice StackTraxx are quite good. They come in pre-cut :15 :30 :60 & whole song lengths and you can also mix the instruments yourself or just use the music directly from the CD.

Because you are logged in as you. 😉 Everyone sees their own name in red so that it’s easier to see the posts that you’ve participated in.

    > One of my other sources is WalMart. They have those CD’s with Zen and flutes and all kinds of different melodies with no vocals.

Unless these are licensed as royalty free you cannot legally use them. When you buy a CD, you buy the right to “listen” to the music. You do not buy the right to create derivative works from them (i.e., syncing music to video is a derivative work and requires a sync license).

    > The good ones are the American Indian flute songs, no way to tell one from the other as far as who recorded it.

It doesn’t matter much who recorded it… somebody published it (I’ll bet that’s on the CD) and the publisher can sue you for illegal use. Like I said, if it doesn’t say “royalty free” you should assume it isn’t.

ACID is an excellent way to create your own royalty free music but you have to have the time to compose it. You also need to buy several libraries so that you have a broad pallet of loops to choose from; but I agree, ACID 7 rocks for quickly making royalty free music.

John I download the “Sonicfire Pro 5” over the weekend and played around with for awhile. I want you to know it is just what I am looking for! Thank you, thank you, thank you, I may be back next week cussing you out over it, but right now the only reason I have not bought it is because I can not make up my mind what music I want.

Glad to hear that you like it and yes… the toughest part is figuring out what music to buy from their extensive library. I also pick up a lot of their stuff when they have 50% sales so watch out for those too.
