    I’m confused. I’ve read the adobe aftereffectsCS3 color management pdf, and it reads:”You likely want to output to the log-encoded Cineon format”.

    so: the Cineon sequence is a log format, right?

    Talking to the film lab today, and it sounds as if thats not quite true. I sent some DPX frames over and they are asking for those images to be in a log format. After some discussion, I nested the composition, and applied the cineon converter to the entire thing, Lin to Log, but that seems to contradict what the PDF is saying, so…

    a bit confused

    The real question: “Is a Cineon sequence in a log format?”

    Yes cineons are in log space.
