Cinemascope and Adobe Premiere
This is an issue I am having that will hopefully induce a large conversation. The background to my issue is simple: I have an XL2. I have Premiere Pro 2. I am buying a Kowa Anamorphic lens with brackets for camera attachment.
I need to know:
1) How I can modify the lens to fit Canon’s 72mm threads.
2) If I film with the lens attached (in 4:3 mode) I should retain full cinemascope aspect ratio (2.66:1)….If I capture that and import it into the anamorphic template for Premiere will it fill out the screen and what settings do I use to transcode it to retain its full aspect ratio on DVD.thanks,

What do you plan on playing back the footage on? if you play back 720×480 NTSC with that ratio on a Widescreen TV you will have tall skinney people.
