As much as the company hates it – most of us call these Cine-tal monitors, ( they changed the name after they went into wide use). I have one and it is by far the best viewing monitor I have ever had, Single and Dual Link, 1D + 3 D LUT capabilities, frame-store and the best preview angle for viewing.
mine was over $10k.

August 24, 2009 at 3:52 pmAnd mine was over $20,000, and I’m still trying to calibrate it properly. Gary, how did you calibrate your monitor? I’m based in Korea, and I don’t believe there’s anyone experienced with this very new B420 model that was just delivered to me. I’ve changed my Spyder 3 Elite Probe to Eye One Display 2 Probe since the monitor only interacts with it or Eye One Pro. Anyways, I’ve followed the manual a few times, but I’m still scrathing my head when I see the result. My grades has been coming out quite a bit darker than expected with the factory defult Rec709 Gamut Controlled setting, which is why I’m trying to calibrate it to the perpection. Hate to see that my Cinemage not performing any better than the JVC 24whatever model that’s sitting next to it. Hmmmm.. I am trying to contact Cine-Tal for this matter. Just trying to get any advice from another professional user like you.
Thanks,
Nook Kim
