Our offline edit is 29.97 fps offlineRT (low-res).
Our online edit will be 24 fps 1080i24 HDCam (8-bit uncompressed) via Kona2.

In order to convert the project, I use cinematools EDL conversion from 30fps to 24fps, then re-import into my online sequence.

Reading up on onlining and EDL protocol, it’s been mentioned that REEL names should be short and alpha-numerics only, otherwise the EDL won’t allow proper re-capture.

My reel names are uniformly: SCE-35001
(three letters, a dash, and 5 numbers).

    Questions:
    1. Do I change Reel numbers and if so, how?…can I change the master clip Reel # and will that do it?
    2. What EDL format do I use? CMX 3600?
    3. Any other hints, advice, suggestions for using Cinematools and K2?

    Thanks in advance.
