March 25, 2009 at 10:50 pmIf it’s anything like the HV20, you press the “function” button and under “recording mode” scroll left or right with the joystick to select it. Make sure the switch on the side of the camera is on “P” and not “Auto”.

What is Cinema mode
(1) It allows for more film like texture to the look ? what does that mean ?
(2) How does capturing in cinema mode effect the conversion of the video. Meaning depending on what Quality of capture (I have the Canon Vixia HF-11 camera)
MXP = 24 Mbps
FXP = 17 Mbps
XP+ = 12 Mbps
SP = 7 Mbps
to LP = Long Play – 5 MbpsLooking at the encoding process and what is the best format for me to ultimately get to
Best Quality HD web format in flash H.2.64
Sorry if this is in the wrong post 😉
