  Cinema display Lag

  Hello

  I searched the forum for my query, but had no luck.

  I have 2 Apple Cinema displays. i use one for full screen preview from FCP.
  (by setting the external video to Cinema Display Main)

  For some reason it doesn’t play back very “smooth”.

  Im running FCP7 on a mac pro 2.66 intel/7GB RAM.
  Radeon 3870 video card.

  My sequence is ProRes 1920×1080. Now, i do have 3 tracks of ProRes going (no effects).
  My media lives on a OWC Raid via Sonnet eSata card.

  This might just be a limitation with my system/codec, but i wasn’t 100% sure if i should
  expect “real-time” perfect playback.
