I wanted to let you know I designed a tool specially for people with the needs you described. It’s called Infinite Oceans from C4Depot.
This tool allows fully animated and displaced realistic oceans that go on to infinity with no limits to size. Another great feature is you can customize the look and feel of the water’s waves and more by using sliders.
