    Hi there,
I have not worked in 3d in over 3 years. The last version software and version I worked on was Maya 4.5. I was not a master, but fairly capable. Now, I don’t recognize the UI. So. for soemone that has worked on 3D and whose needs nowadays are creating 3D versions of logos, extruded text and camera moves, would you say switch over to Cinema 4D? I am all for ease of use, and that’s where I hear Cinema 4D’s name mentioned all the time.

    Please advise.

I’m no master by any strech of the imagination, but I’m a huge fan of C4D. I have no formal training what-so-ever, and in just over a month, I have self taught myself the program to where I’m already free-lancing for interior designers. I do have a bit of AE experience, but it’s quite intuituve, and if you already know 3D language I don’t see why it would be too hard for you to pick up. Just my thoughts… Hope it helps!

I stop using C4D at version 7 because I started working in Character Animation. I started using Maya 4.5 and continued up until version 7 and loved it.

C4D launched Version 10 and I investigated it quite thoroughly as it announced new CA tools.

I went back to C4D since May 2007 and have not needed (or wanted)
    Maya any longer.

    Hope that helps mate, TH

In my opinion Cinema would be the best program for your needs.
