    Greetings…

I’ve been trawling through the forums for the past 45 mins or so and I reckon I have a decent handle on how to get 3D tracked camera data into AE via Cinema 4D.

I’d just really like a concise overview of which program I should use to gather the tracking data itself – Synth eyes, boujou etc.

I know nothing about these, and I was hoping someone who had done the exact workflow I’m after (3D tracker > Cinema4D > AE), could tell me which was the easiest to use, which was best value, and which gives best results.

Basically, I’m no dunce in AE and I want to take the step from doing pure gfx stuff to stuff like this at 1.30…

    Many thanks….

Its easy stuff. You don’t even have to render the c4d file if you won’t want, just click the SAVE AFTER EFFECTS PROJECT, and it’ll output a camera with missing footage.

Maybe scale it up in c4d, for some reason teh cameras are small in afx. Also, you can export a maya camera out of a lot of pieces of software (i own syntheyes…and it all really depends on what you need to do…) and import the maya camera into AE. Pretty sweet deal.
