I am working on an animation where i use audio to make a characters lights flash using a sound effector but then to have the audio in sync with the animation in the editor i have to add the same audio into the animation timeline

is there a way for me to skip having to add the audio a second time

    Edit: I’m using version R16

You have to add it twice in that version. I think R18 or R19 they fixed it to where you can hear things in the sound effector (and it plays back more smoothly too).

I decided to upgrade to R23 and now have a new problem with the sound effector in R16 there was a start offset option below where you uploaded the audio file i cant find that option anymore so i cant tell the sound effector when i want to start playing
