Cineform Neo vs Prospect HD
Hey all,
I’ve been shooting a lot of AVCHD on an HMC150 recently and am now looking at intermediate codecs to use to edit the footage. Cineform looks pretty appealing right now, but I’m a little confused as to the difference between their NeoHD and ProspectHD offerings. The only difference (besides price) seems to be that Prospect includes a ‘realtime engine for Premiere Pro’.
I guess my question is… what does it do? I’m editing with PP CS4 on a PC so it sounds interesting. But you can still edit Cineform IC with NeoHD… so what exactly does the extra $250 get you?
Also, if anyone has any other suggestions for intermediate codecs, please let me know. One thing I’m liking about Cineform is the HDMI capture via HD Link.
Thanks,
Gord
