John – You are wrong about Vegas Movie Studio never being shipped with Cineform. I started using the codec because VMS supplied it and recommended it and in fact, I archived all my clips using it.

Looking back most my Cineform archives are dated around 2008 so the VMS studio version that offered it was somewhere around then. Like so very many other screw ups by Sony, Every time VMS updates, it removes apps offered in earlier versions and old programs have to be redone over and over when updating.
