    Hello,

How many people would be looking at full Cineform support on the full range of Blackmagic cards. For capture/playback within a cineform project setting with Premiere pro.

The compression codec is great on Cineform, and it’s a shame you can’t play it back via the Multibridge and other Blackmagic cards.

On other forums, it says in the pipeline intergration between Cineform/Blackmagic. but seems its not clear if it is still going to go ahead?

So far Adobe is bugged to hell, and I can’t capture or edit HDV at all from Adobe Premeire Pro cs3, version 2 had the same problems. Red frames, slow performance, audio drfit, and other issues.

Cineform seems the only way to capture properly HDV footage into Premeire pro cs3, with scene detection along with its superior codec performance, and render engine.

It’s a shame that we cant monitor the Cineform edit on a broadcast monitor, via the Blackmagic hardware along with full capture support via the Blackmagic units. As it’s limited right now to watching the edit on the computer screen.

Maybe we could pay for the Blackmagic initial software update so it would support the full capture/playback with Cinefrom files.

Be interesting to hear other peoples opinions on the full support for Cineform with the Cineform codec and Adobe Premeire pro real-time engine.

As I am itching really for this intergration as it’s a shame. I know with the Intensity card you can capture the files into Cineform, but then you have no way of playing them back??

    Thanks,

    Leo

    Agree leo.
In fact we are now thinking about this.

We work with material from SI2k, in cineform RAW by this days. And capture from intensity also. CINEFORM RAW material go YUV through intensity PRO in final cut you need zoom rescaling to fit it down on screen. So i use it only when stop. No playback and the size of picture in the VIEWER is very small. Now I have only one monitor running and the broadcast SD.

    saludos
