    Hello.

I switched from a PC to a mac a while back. When i worked with my pc I converted some h.264 material from a long running project I’m working on to Avi Cineform Codec because I could not edit with my PC properly. Unforunately I lost my original camera files and I’m now stuck with my Cineform codec files wich are, ofcourse, unusable with a mac.

Is there any way to convert these files back? They can only be played on windows movie maker.

    Thank you

    Sander

Sorry for the late reply, was poking around and found this msg.

You should be able to use the free NeoPlayer to decode it on Apple:

It’s been a couple years since I used it, but it worked well between our macs and win machines. You might have to rename your .avi to .mov – can’t remember. Download renameit off of download.com if you need to rename a bunch of files.

    Hopefully you already found this.
