  • Cineform Aspect HD 4.0, PPro 2.0: 8-bit and 10-bit Confusion

Cineform Aspect HD 4.0 supports 8-bit editing, but not 10-bit editing, correct?
PPro 2.0 supports both 8-bit and 10-bit editing, correct?

Will Cineform Aspect HD 4.0 on a PPro 2.0 system support 10-bit editing? Or do you have to move to Prospect HD (or Axio) to get 10-bit with PPro 2.0?

You would have to be editing uncompressed in Premiere Pro 2 with 10 bit preceisoon to be 10 bit. Aspect is 8 bit because HDV is 8 bit…and it’s fast and runs on smaller machines.

Yes, Prospect and Axio run 10 bit precision in HD.
