    Cine Alta 900R problem

    Hi,

    I recently did a shoot with a Cine Alta 900R and found that the resulting footage was all soft and blurred:

    I’m assured by camera dept that all settings were correct and indeed on the day the footage looked fine on both monitors.

    Can anybody help me get to the bottom of this? It’s almost as if a field is missing although we were shooting 25p

    Any wisdom massively appreciated

    Looks to me like your back focus was incorrect. The 3rd clip seems to have the light diffusion enclosure much sharper than the talent. Don’t know why you couldn’t see that on your monitor as you shot. Maybe the monitor was low rez?
