i wouldn’t mind if they bought all the broadcast graphics boxes… we have a variety of pinnacle (now avid) deko systems and now some new miranda vertigos, and i would be happy if they all worked more like after effects.

We got a Lyric a few months ago, and I’m still trying to get it online. There are many great people out there on the Lyric, but it’s a full-time job for them. This is the least intuitive, cranky and non-logical software that I’ve ever used. I wish the engineers would at least LOOK at an After Effects interface and workflow to see what a good piece of code looks like.

I think Chyron might have problems down the road if they don’t somehow streamline their product because fewer and fewer stations are devoting a full time chyron operator. This isn’t a program that you can just pick up on an occasional basis.
