    Hi All,

I’ve got some green screen interviews shot on a PDW700 in IMX50 mode. The colour background is solid and well lit, good separation with minimum spill.

When I try and key it I get a jagged edge using the FCP chromakey filter. With a bit of fiddling I can get a good key which I’m happy with but I’d like to get it better.

Any thoughts – has anyone had any major problems with IMX50 and keying?

    Many thanks.

The on board chroma keyer in FCP is not great. You could try the one in Motion which many here recommend.

A search of this forum will also reveal many plugin options and opinion about keying.

IMX50 is a compressed 8bit codec so trying to pull a key off greenscreen will always be hit and miss even if the background is correctly lit.

    Hi there,

Thanks for the input. In the end I ended up getting DVmatt blast and I have to say the pictures a very impressive.
