I sure wish Sony would make a good chromakey pluggin for Vegas Pro. Unless the lighting is perfect, with absolutly no spill, the pluggin ins’t usable, except with graphics maybe. After Effects has Keylight, Premiere CS5 just added Ultra key. We could buy New Blue, but it doesn’t compare with Ultra and Keylight. I would love not to have to leave Vegas do do this. Just a thought. Danny Hays

You don’t have to. Just get the Boris FX plug-in. It has a really nice set of chroma key tools with matte chokers and even an environment wrap! Yup! This one is the killer. It will wrap the background around the edges of the foreground such that it makes the foreground object really look like it’s in the picture. (kinda like background spill for the new background) Check out Boris FX. I use Boris RED but I think all of these tools are in the less expensive FX version too.

BTW, for anyone else reading this… the NewBlue FX keyer is a whole lot better than what Vegas has. I agree it’s not Keylight or Boris FX, but it’s way better than Vegas’ built in keyer and the spill suppression is really good. You can’t go wrong for the price.
