Chroma Keying with 7D footage
I have some footage shot on Canon 7D converted to ProRes422 that I am working with in After Effects CS4 with Keylight 1.2. The keys generally look pretty good, but at certain little points, especially where very little greenscreen is visible through a person’s bare legs I have these bright artifacts. I can rotoscope these out, but I’m wondering if this has something to do with how I transcoded the footage or something about how the 7D shoots? I know the colorspace on this camera isn’t technically ideal for keying. Is that what I’m up against? It sort of looks like edging that I’ve seen on some 7D footage on other non-greenscreen shoots. Any suggestions on getting around this issue would be greatly appreciated!
